Thomas works in the civil cassation practice. He, moreover, litigates at factual authories for both public and private parties at the full length of private law, for example, in the area of right of ground lease and private law in relation to the public sector.

Thomas has studied at Leiden University and completed the master Civil law. During his studies he has worked for several years as an external court clerk at the Commerce Team of the appellate court in The Hague. Moreover, he has gained juridical work experience in the legal profession. Later on, he completed an internship at the civil practice group (Procurator General's Office) at the research bureau of the Supreme Court.

Before he made the transition to the legal profession, he worked as a senior staff lawyer at the Commerce Team of the Court The Hague and he was linked to Leiden University as external doctoral candidate.
