Willemijn Polders

Willemijn’s practice includes advising and litigating in administrative procedures for both public and private parties within the areas of environmental, enforcement and spatial planning law. She specializes in municipal and local institutional law and the Dutch Freedom of Information Act (Wob). Willemijn’s knowledge of the political-administrative context enables her to assess risks and opportunities beyond the legal aspects of a matter and achieve practical, effective solutions for her clients.

Willemijn obtained her Master of Laws from Leiden University specializing in Constitutional and Administrative Law, while working as a paralegal at Van der Feltz advocaten. She lived in French-Canada and studies French law at Panthéon-Assas (Paris 2). After her studies, she made a sidestep to the national parliament and the legal research depart of Leiden University, where, in both positions, she worked on institutional and rule of law matters. Back at Van der Feltz advocaten, she partly devotes her free time to Lawyers 4 Lawyers and children with a reading disadvantage in the Hague (Stichting Avrasya).
