Brim Tonino
Brim Tonino is a lawyer practising (public) procurement-, lease-, property-, construction- and administrative law. He handles a mixture of contentious and non-contentious work for developers, investors, construction companies, (local) government, water companies and others involved in Construction and Real Estate projects. Litigation and arbitration forms an important part of his work.
The construction- and real estate sectors are of special interest to Brim. He closely follows the latest trends and developments, regularly publishing in legal journals and blogging on issues and developments in these sectors. He is a member of the editorial board of the Dutch Journal for Real Estate Law (Vastgoedrecht), Procurement Law.
Brim studied at Leiden University and Monash University (Melbourne, Australia). Brim is member of the board of the Young Real Estate Lawyers Association (VJOJ) and member of Young Real Estate The Hague ('Jong Onroerend Goed Den Haag) society for young real estate professionals.

Work highlights
- Advising a specialist investor in European sale & lease back transactions with regard to its acquisition of a global automotive parts manufacturer’s European production facility in Oss, The Netherlands, and on a new 20-years triple net lease, with the global automotive parts manufacturer as tenant;
- Advising and successfully representing a water company in summary proceedings regarding a procurement dispute relating to building materials;
- Advising and representing a contractor on the development of and (additional work) claims regarding to a new build 5* star hotel in Amsterdam, The Netherlands;
- Advising a developer on the multi-use development of a landmark in The Netherlands and representing the party in various landlord-tenant litigation cases;
- Advising and representing a security company in a series of procurement (summary proceedings and appeal) cases relating to public transport and infrastructure;
- Advising and representing a municipality in various landlord-tenant litigation cases in its central station area;
- Advising and representing a major printer supplier in summary proceedings regarding a procurement dispute against the State of The Netherlands.
